What is CVE-2026-4766?

The Easy Image Gallery plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping for user-provided gallery shortcode values. This vulnerability permits authenticated users with Contributor-level access and higher to inject malicious scripts into pages. Once executed, these scripts can compromise the security of users accessing affected pages, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized actions.
