Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in LatePoint for WordPress
CVE-2026-5391

6.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-5391?

The LatePoint plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the 'btn_wrapper_classes' attribute in the 'latepoint_resources' shortcode. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 5.3.2 due to poor input sanitization and output escaping within the 'locations' category of the 'shortcode_latepoint_resources' function. Consequently, authenticated users with contributor-level access can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts can execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page, thereby posing a significant security risk.
