What is CVE-2026-5920?

The Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to a flaw in the handling of the 'shortcode_content' parameter within the bt_bb_shortcode shortcode. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 5.9.6. Specifically, a security filter (bt_bb_save_pre) can be bypassed through null byte injection, leading to insufficient output sanitization of base64-decoded content in the bt_bb_raw_content shortcode handler. As a result, authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts, which execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page.

Affected Version(s)

Bold Page Builder 0 <= 5.9.6
