What is CVE-2026-6646?

The7 theme for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'dt_default_button' shortcode. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on the 'title' parameter of the 'link' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary scripts into pages. These scripts will then execute whenever a user visits the affected pages, posing significant risks to site integrity and user security.
