What is CVE-2026-6809?

The Social Post Embed plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks through the Threads embed handler. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-provided URLs. Authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when users access the modified page, thus compromising the security of the website and its visitors.
