What is CVE-2026-74851?

The Pods WordPress plugin prior to version 3.3.9.1 contains a security flaw that fails to appropriately verify a display callback against its list of restricted functions. This oversight permits users with the author role or higher to execute arbitrary code on the server. Notably, this vulnerability impacts only those installations employing the restricted display-callback mode, which is automatically set by default for installations with any Pods version earlier than 3.1.

Affected Version(s)

Pods 3.1.0 < 3.3.9.1

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
