Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Podlove Podcast Publisher for WordPress
CVE-2026-75966
6.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-75966?
The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'episode_contributor[..][..][comment]' parameter. Users with contributor-level access can inject malicious scripts that execute when any user views affected pages. The contributor comments are saved in a plugin-managed table, circumventing WordPress's core input filters, while the save_post hook does not require a nonce check. Consequently, any user capable of editing posts can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary scripts within the context of the site.
