What is CVE-2026-76555?
The WP Import Export Lite plugin prior to version 3.9.33 exhibits improper input validation regarding user-supplied file paths. This flaw allows users with import permissions to read and copy files to a publicly accessible directory, potentially exposing sensitive server files located outside the web root. Additionally, the vulnerability relaxes file-system permissions for any specified path, regardless of the success of the copy operation, which could further compromise the integrity of the server.
