The WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin for WordPress is prone to an authentication bypass vulnerability due to inconsistent handling of HMAC message construction between the wdpsso_step1 and wdpsso_step2 AJAX actions. The first step improperly exposes a concatenation of sensitive tokens, while the second step omits essential fields during verification. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to exploit the system by obtaining a valid HMAC from step 1 and replaying it in a manner that circumvents authentication controls, potentially allowing access to an administrator session.
