What is CVE-2026-78657?

The SigmaForms Pro plugin for WordPress is susceptible to arbitrary file deletion due to weaknesses in file path validation within the delete_submission_files function. This vulnerability affects all versions up to 1.4.11, allowing unauthenticated attackers to exploit the system by submitting a malicious path through the form upload field. Once stored in the database, if an administrator deletes a submission record using the admin panel, it triggers the deletion of arbitrary files from the server. This could lead to severe consequences, including remote code execution, if critical files such as wp-config.php are removed.

Affected Version(s)
