What is CVE-2026-8039?

The Fancy Testimonials plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'author' shortcode attribute within the 'testimonial' shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in all versions up to 1.0. As a result, authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the compromised page, posing a significant security risk.
