What is CVE-2026-8155?

The BuddyPress plugin for WordPress prior to version 14.5.0 possesses an authorization flaw that fails to restrict access to private messaging endpoints. As a result, any authenticated user, including Subscribers, can interact with other users' private messages—allowing them to read, modify, or even delete messages without proper permission. This vulnerability raises significant concerns over user privacy and data integrity within the platform.
