What is CVE-2026-8157?
The Vitepos WordPress plugin prior to version 3.4.2 contains a vulnerability that fails to adequately restrict user roles during the creation of new users via its REST API endpoints. This oversight permits authenticated users assigned with custom roles to elevate their permissions to that of an administrator, potentially compromising the security of the entire WordPress site.
