The Masteriyo LMS plugin for WordPress versions prior to 3.4.1 is vulnerable due to a failure to properly sanitize and escape course field inputs in the course editor. This flaw permits users assigned the instructor role to carry out Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, potentially affecting users with higher privileges such as administrators. Malicious scripts could be injected and executed in the context of users who access affected pages, leading to unauthorized access or data manipulation.
