What is CVE-2026-82923?

The AI Website Builder plugin for WordPress (version 1.0.0) is susceptible to an authorization bypass vulnerability due to the absence of authentication checks on its REST API routes. This flaw permits unauthenticated attackers to carry out a range of malicious activities, such as installing and activating unauthorized plugins and themes, importing content from an attacker-controlled URL, and writing arbitrary files to the uploads directory. If the server executes PHP files directly from the uploads directory, this could lead to remote code execution, posing a significant risk to website integrity and security.

Affected Version(s)

AI Website Builder (GitHub build) 1.0.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
