What is CVE-2026-84066?
The Directorist plugin for WordPress prior to version 8.9 has a security vulnerability that does not adequately verify whether a user requesting to modify a post's metadata is the actual owner of that post. This oversight allows users with subscriber-level permissions and above to modify image metadata on posts not owned by them, potentially leading to unauthorized content manipulation and privacy concerns.
