What is CVE-2026-84223?

The Kirki WordPress plugin prior to version 6.3.1 contains a vulnerability that permits unauthorized upload of unvalidated SVG files. This flaw allows users with author-level access and higher to upload SVGs that include embedded JavaScript, which is then served from the site's origin. As a result, this can lead to the unauthorized execution of scripts within the sessions of users who access the infected SVG files, potentially compromising site security.
