What is CVE-2026-84742?
The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress, prior to version 6.17.5, suffers from an improper access control vulnerability. This flaw allows users assigned roles that typically lack publishing permissions, such as contributors, to publish content via the plugin's REST API. Consequently, users can bypass the standard editorial review process, potentially leading to unauthorized or inappropriate content being published on the site.
