What is CVE-2026-84829?
The Optimole WordPress plugin, prior to version 4.2.12, has a vulnerability that arises from insufficient input validation, allowing unauthenticated users to inject arbitrary attributes into image tag attributes. This flaw can lead to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, effectively compromising web pages served to all visitors, as malicious scripts may be executed in users' browsers, resulting in unauthorized actions or data theft.
