What is CVE-2026-85000?

The EmbedPress WordPress plugin, prior to version 4.6.8, is susceptible to a server-side request forgery vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to send requests that trigger actions on a third-party API without proper checks, such as capability or nonce validation. Consequently, the attackers can insert their controlled cache entries, leading to the potential exhaustion of the site owner's API quota and unauthorized modifications to the site's database.

Affected Version(s)

EmbedPress 0 < 4.6.8

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
