What is CVE-2026-85005?

The Popup Maker WP plugin for WordPress prior to version 1.4.5 lacks proper authorization checks on multiple actions, leaving its management interface exposed to any logged-in user. This exploitation allows individuals with low-privileged roles, such as Subscribers, to manipulate display-targeting values. These values can be invoked as zero-argument PHP callables during public page loads, creating a pathway for sensitive information disclosure and potential denial of service.

Affected Version(s)

Popup Maker WP 1.2.2.1 <= 1.4.5

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
