What is CVE-2026-85017?
The Unlimited Elements For Elementor plugin for WordPress prior to version 2.0.20 suffers from a serious security flaw due to inadequate capability checks on an AJAX action, allowing authenticated attackers with minimal privileges, such as subscriber-level access, to inject arbitrary PHP objects via deserialized attacker-controlled data. Although an earlier version (2.0.18 to 2.0.19) partially mitigated this vulnerability by raising the privilege level to editor, it was not fully resolved until version 2.0.20.
Affected Version(s)
Unlimited Elements For Elementor 0 < 2.0.20
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
