What is CVE-2026-85198?

The Multiple Page Generator plugin for WordPress is susceptible to SQL injection via the URL path due to inadequate escaping of user-supplied input and insufficient preparation in its SQL queries. This vulnerability is present in all versions up to 4.2.1 and allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to insert additional SQL commands into existing queries. Exploitation of this vulnerability is contingent on the activation of the [mpg_spintax] shortcode within site-wide content such as footers or template parts, potentially leading to unauthorized data retrieval from the database.
