What is CVE-2026-86604?

The GTranslate plugin for WordPress versions prior to 5.0.1 contains a vulnerability that permits unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary shortcodes on the server side through outgoing emails. This occurs as the plugin fails to adequately sanitize shortcodes from email content when sent, particularly in non-default configurations, which can lead to potential exploitation and unauthorized access.
