The SSL Zen – SSL Certificate Installer & HTTPS Redirects plugin for WordPress is impacted by a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows authenticated users, including those with minimal access such as Subscribers, to download sensitive TLS private keys, certificates, and diagnostic logs. This vulnerability arises from the lack of proper capability and nonce checks during a crucial stage of the WordPress admin request lifecycle. As a result, users can illicitly access data that should be restricted, posing a significant risk to website security and data integrity.
