What is CVE-2026-87782?

The Koinonia Link plugin for WordPress, versions before 1.1.5, fails to properly verify user permissions when altering role selections during profile updates. This oversight can be exploited by any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, allowing them to upgrade their own role to Administrator, which poses significant security risks to the system and its data.
