What is CVE-2026-87848?

The MPCX Lightbox plugin for WordPress, versions 1.2.2 to 1.2.5, is vulnerable due to a lack of authorization on one of its AJAX actions, which is accessible to unauthenticated users. This allows unauthorized visitors to access sensitive information, including titles, content, excerpts, and other details of posts, regardless of their status—be it private, draft, pending, trashed, or password-protected.
