What is CVE-2026-87918?

The WPBot plugin for WordPress prior to version 8.5.7 is vulnerable to unauthorized access due to the lack of authorization and nonce checks on several AJAX actions. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit these actions to relay requests to configured third-party AI providers, effectively using the site's API keys without permission. As a result, this could lead to unexpected API usage costs incurred by the site owner. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this risk.

Affected Version(s)

WPBot 0 < 8.5.7

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
