The rtMedia plugin for WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress prior to version 4.7.12 is vulnerable due to inadequate ownership verification. This allows users with subscriber-level accounts or higher to manipulate the privacy settings of another user's activity and its associated media. The vulnerability arises from the reliance on a nonce that is accessible to all logged-in users, leading to potential unauthorized exposure of private content.
