What is CVE-2026-88998?

The Tickera WordPress plugin prior to version 3.6.0.4 is susceptible to a serious vulnerability that fails to adequately verify the integrity of incoming payment notifications. This weakness allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass verification processes, as the validated signature does not encompass critical transaction details, such as the order information or payment amount. Consequently, malicious actors could forge payment confirmations, resulting in the unauthorized marking of any order as paid, without the actual transaction occurring.

Affected Version(s)

Tickera 0 < 3.6.0.4

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
