What is CVE-2026-89006?

The WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher plugin for WordPress prior to version 2.8.27 has a serious oversight in its handling of imported feed content. It fails to properly sanitize this content before it is saved as post content. This flaw permits users with Contributor roles and higher to exploit the vulnerability, potentially enabling them to conduct Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Such vulnerabilities can lead to unauthorized script execution in the context of user sessions, posing a significant risk to website integrity and user data security.
