The Splide Carousel Block plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of the 'url' block attribute. This flaw allows authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into web pages. The malicious script will execute when a user visits the infected page, provided the contributor's post is approved and published by an editor or administrator, effectively putting site visitors at risk.
