What is CVE-2026-91011?
The EWWW Image Optimizer plugin for WordPress versions prior to 8.7.7 lacks proper escaping of image attributes in the rewritten page output. This vulnerability permits authenticated users with author-level permissions or higher to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into published content. When unsuspecting users visit the affected page, the malicious JavaScript executes in their browsers, potentially compromising the security of their sessions and personal information.
