What is CVE-2026-92097?

The Click to Chat for WhatsApp plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows unauthorized users to execute arbitrary shortcodes due to improper handling of template placeholders in its greetings_dialog() function. An attacker can manipulate the {url} template placeholder using input from $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] without sufficient sanitation, enabling them to bypass wp_kses() protections. This flaw can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers to leverage registered shortcodes from WordPress core, plugins, or themes, posing a significant security risk.
