Authentication Bypass in Gitea Actions for Fork Pull Requests
CVE-2026-94205
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2026-94205?
The Gitea Actions feature includes a vulnerability where approval for fork pull request runs is determined by the user who triggers the event rather than the author of the pull request. This presents a risk during standard operations, as actions triggered by maintainers, such as adding a label, could initiate runs without requiring explicit approval. Consequently, if Actions is enabled and a corresponding runner is registered, unapproved fork-controlled workflow code can execute on the base repository's runners, posing significant security risks.
