What is CVE-2026-94299?
The elegro Crypto Payment WordPress plugin prior to version 1.0.1 has a serious security flaw that allows attackers to deceive the payment system. Specifically, it fails to enforce the requirement for a shared secret, enabling unauthorized individuals to send fraudulent payment notifications. As a result, they can manipulate the order status on affected installations that have not modified the default empty value for the shared secret. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it can lead to unauthorized financial transactions and compromise the integrity of the payment processing system.
