SQL Injection Vulnerability in WP Visitor Statistics Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-96267

7.5HIGH

What is CVE-2026-96267?

The WP Visitor Statistics plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a SQL Injection vulnerability that can be exploited through the 'fullRef' parameter. All versions up to and including 8.7 lack proper escaping of user-supplied input and fail to adequately prepare SQL queries. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject malicious SQL code by submitting a crafted referrer URL to the wmcTrack endpoint. The unescaped input persists in the wp_logVisit table and can trigger the injection when an administrator views the Traffic Sources dashboard, potentially exposing sensitive information.

Affected Version(s)

WP Visitor Statistics (Real Time Traffic) 0 <= 8.7
