What is CVE-2026-96423?

A vulnerability in the X11 protocol dissector of Wireshark versions 4.6.0 to 4.6.8 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.18 allows attackers to cause a denial of service. This occurs due to a flaw that enables an unhandled error to crash the dissector, disrupting normal operations and service.
