What is CVE-2026-96526?

The MCP Server for WordPress plugin prior to version 1.8.2 lacks a crucial object-level authorization check for its workflow REST routes. This deficiency enables users with the Contributor role to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information, disclosing titles and publication statuses of posts, pages, and custom post types. This includes visibility into other users' private, draft, pending, and scheduled content, posing a significant privacy risk.
