What is CVE-2026-96570?

The Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'saswp_review_text' parameter. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping policies present in all versions up to and including 1.67. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to inject harmful web scripts into web pages, which will be executed whenever users access those compromised pages. Additionally, the nonce, intended to provide authorization, is found in the HTML output of the [saswp-reviews-form] shortcode, making it accessible to any visitor and defeating its purpose as a security measure.
