Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in User Frontend Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-96574

6.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-96574?

The User Frontend – Membership, User Registration, User Profile, User Directory & Content Restriction plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting attack through the 'wpuf_payment_method' parameter. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts into pages. The exploitation involves appending a valid gateway keyword to the HTML payload, which results in the sanitize_text_field() function returning only the keyword, while the malicious content is stored and later presented unescaped, potentially compromising user data and site integrity.
