Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Transliterator Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-96575

7.2HIGH

What is CVE-2026-96575?

The Transliterator plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to lack of proper input sanitation and output escaping. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts via comment content. The vulnerability arises from the predictable {rstr_keep} placeholder and the inclusion of certain tags and attributes, which are not adequately filtered by WordPress’s core comment sanitization processes. As a result, injected scripts remain active and can execute whenever a user views a compromised page, posing a significant risk to site security.

Affected Version(s)

Transliterator – Multilingual and Multi-script Text Conversion 0 <= 2.5.8
