What is CVE-2026-96895?
The WP YouTube Lyte plugin for WordPress, prior to version 1.7.31, contains a vulnerability that fails to properly escape YouTube embed block attributes. This inadequate escaping can lead to the execution of stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks by users with minimal privileges, such as contributors. Attackers can potentially exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts, compromising the security and integrity of affected WordPress sites.
