What is CVE-2025-2636?
The InstaWP Connect plugin for WordPress has a Local File Inclusion vulnerability present in all versions up to and including 0.1.0.85. This issue arises from the improper handling of the 'instawp-database-manager' parameter, allowing unauthenticated attackers to manipulate file inclusions. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can potentially include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server, thus bypassing access controls. This could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information and the execution of harmful scripts, particularly if the attacker can upload files disguised as safe file types like images.
Affected Version(s)
InstaWP Connect – 1-click WP Staging & Migration * <= 0.1.0.85
