What is CVE-2026-81648?

The CryptoPayment Gateway plugin for WordPress versions 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 contains a significant security flaw that fails to implement proper authorization checks on one of its AJAX endpoints. This vulnerability permits unauthorized users to execute administrative tasks without sufficient authentication, leading to critical security issues such as the ability to delete arbitrary files on the server, modify payment gateway configurations, and retrieve sensitive stored wallet credentials in an unencrypted format.
