What is CVE-2026-86601?

The WP Recipe Maker plugin for WordPress prior to version 10.8.2 is susceptible to a security flaw where it fails to sanitize shortcodes in comment content. As a result, unauthenticated users can exploit this oversight, leading to the execution of arbitrary shortcodes on the server side. This vulnerability not only allows unauthorized code execution but also enables access to unpublished recipe content, compromising the integrity and confidentiality of the site's data.
