What is CVE-2026-86608?
The WP Recipe Maker plugin for WordPress has a significant security flaw that allows unauthenticated users to perform unauthorized data manipulations. This vulnerability arises due to a lack of authentication checks in specific REST routes, enabling attackers to write unbounded data into any user's metadata. As a result, this can lead to situations where administrators—and all other users—can be permanently locked out of their accounts, severely compromising the security and functionality of the affected sites.
